Job Title: Audio Visual Tech Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Audio Visual Tech Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will assist in the inventory and maintenance of audio and visual equipment, manage vendor relationships, and provide basic technical and administrative support for users. Familiarity with setting up camera, video, and audio equipment for both in-person and online events is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all audio and visual equipment.
- Regularly update and report inventory status to management.
- Track equipment usage and ensure proper storage and handling.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment purchases, rentals, and repairs.
- Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on audio and visual equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events.
Technical Support:
- Provide basic technical support for in-person and online events.
- Assist in setting up camera, video, and audio equipment as needed.
- Ensure smooth operation of technical aspects during events.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Support the team with general office duties and special projects as required.
- Maintain organized records of equipment usage, vendor interactions, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in media, technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of audio and visual equipment and their setup.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Fluency in Japanese; English proficiency is a plus.
